GET VACCINATED

March 8, 2021 at 0859H.

As a member of the medical field who works as an Anesthesiologist, a frontliner and also who advocate others to get vaccinations, I received my Sinovac 1st dose today.

Common risk associated or common/expected side effects are pain, redness or swelling at injection site, tiredness, headaches, muscle pain, chills, joint pain, fever, nausea, feeling unwell or swollen lymph nodes (kulani).

It may cause also severe allergic reaction or anaphylaxis with difficulty of breathing, swelling of face and throat, fast heart beat, and rashes all over the body.

Remember, we must understand that all COVID19 vaccines are still being studied in clinical trials so some side effects or adverse not mentioned is/are possible and that it is hard to predict ALL immediate and long-term side effects or complications associated with the vaccines as of the moment.

After getting vaccinated, ALWAYS ASK FOR VACCINATION CERTIFICATE and ask for the BRAND NAME AND LOT NO of the vaccine used. Then they will ask you to stay for 30 minutes to an hour to monitor any immediate untoward reactions.

IMPORTANT to religiously do DAILY REPORTING of status, with or without side effects for the first 10 days and weekly for the next 2 months. THEY WILL GIVE OUT INSTRUCTIONS as to how to do the daily reporting of status, SO PLEASE DO REMIND THEM ABOUT IT BEFORE GOING HOME.

As for my preferred brand of vaccine? None. Whichever arrived first, I'll get it. As an anesthesiologist who directly handles patients' airway, I should get myself protected as soon as possible. That is my criteria. Hahahhaha!

Big thanks to QualiMed Sta. Rosa for making it

possible for all of their frontliners to be vaccinated as soon as availability of vaccines were secured.
